Team Maths National Final 2023

The national final of Team Maths 2023 took place in Maynooth University on Saturday March 4th 2023. 25 teams from 23 schools from across the country competed for the Boole Cup, individual IMTA trophies and a Surface Go laptop, keyboard and Surface Go pen.

It was a tense affair with 100 students working their way diligently through 20 challenging questions over 8 gruelling rounds. After round 8, two teams could not be separated – Wesley College and Sandford Park School, both from Dublin. Following an intense Tie Break round, Sandford Park emerged victorious. What was most notable was the silence in the large auditorium from the other students, showing their respect and admiration for the wonderful mathematicians working through the problems.

All participating students and their diligent teachers were treated to lunch at the end of the competition in Pugin Hall. It was a wonderful occasion and we look forward to continuing this tradition into the future.
