Team Maths 2027

Team Maths is a team competition for Leaving Certificate Higher level Maths students
The Regional round of the IMTA Team Maths will be held on on Thursday 14th January 2027.
The quiz will start at 11am, and schools should aim to be seated by 10.45 to ensure a prompt start.
Students should bring their own Formula and Tables book, have a pen and a calculator.
The quiz should take max 2 hours to complete, but hopefully it will all be done by 12.45, depending on tiebreaks.
The winning team from each centre will progress to the National Final on Saturday, 17th April 2027 in the Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise.
The competition is based on a team of 4 students working together to solve mathematical problems based on the Leaving Certificate Higher level Maths syllabus; it is excellent preparation for LC examinations
The cost is €30 per team
Schools can enter up to a maximum of four teams
There are 26 centres to choose from
The competition will take approximately 90 minutes to complete
A school must have at least one paid-up IMTA member to compete in any competitions
