Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how imta.ie (“we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that may be stored on your device when you visit a website. They can be used to provide essential website functions, remember preferences and, where you have given permission, help website owners understand how their website is used.
How we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- operating the website and online shop;
- maintaining your shopping basket and checkout session;
- payment, fraud prevention, security and anti-spam purposes;
- remembering your cookie preferences;
- analytics, where you have consented; and
- loading external content, such as our Microsoft Outlook calendar, where you have consented.
Necessary technologies are used where required to provide services you request or for essential website functionality. Optional analytics and external content are not enabled through our consent system unless you choose to allow them.
Necessary cookies and technologies
These are required for services and functionality requested by visitors and are not controlled by the optional cookie settings.
IMTA cookie preference
imta_cookie_consent
This cookie records the cookie choices you make on the IMTA website so that we can remember your preferences.
Duration: up to 6 months.
WooCommerce
Our online shop uses WooCommerce cookies to maintain shopping basket and customer session information. These may include:
woocommerce_items_in_cart
Records whether your shopping basket contains items.
woocommerce_cart_hash
Helps WooCommerce determine when the contents of your shopping basket change.
wp_woocommerce_session_*
Provides each customer with a unique session so that shopping basket information can be retrieved during their visit.
These cookies are necessary for the operation of the online shop and checkout.
Payments and security
Our checkout uses payment and security services, including Stripe and associated fraud-prevention/security technologies. These services may use cookies or similar technologies where necessary to process payments, maintain security, prevent fraud and protect the checkout process.
Our payment process may also use hCaptcha or related security technologies for fraud and abuse prevention.
Contact forms and anti-spam protection
Our contact forms use Google reCAPTCHA through Gravity Forms to help distinguish genuine submissions from automated spam and abuse. When a protected form is used, information may be communicated to Google as part of this security process.
Analytics
We use Clicky Analytics to understand general website traffic and how visitors use the IMTA website.
Clicky is not loaded through our consent system unless you enable Analytics cookies.
Analytics information can help us understand matters such as website visits and which pages are useful to visitors.
You can enable or disable Analytics at any time through Cookie Settings in the website footer.
External content
Some pages contain content provided by external services.
Microsoft Outlook calendar
The IMTA Events Calendar is provided through Microsoft Outlook/Office 365.
The calendar is not loaded through our consent system unless you enable External Content or specifically choose to load the calendar.
When the calendar is loaded, your browser connects to Microsoft’s services and Microsoft may use cookies or similar technologies in connection with the embedded service.
You can subsequently disable External Content through Cookie Settings.
Your cookie choices
When you first visit the IMTA website, you can:
Accept optional cookies — enables Analytics and External Content.
Reject optional cookies — keeps Analytics and External Content disabled.
Manage cookies — allows you to choose Analytics and External Content independently.
Necessary cookies and technologies required for the website, online shop, checkout, payments, security and anti-spam functionality are not controlled by these optional settings.
You can change or withdraw your choices at any time by selecting Cookie Settings in the website footer.
Your cookie preference is retained for up to six months, after which you may be asked to make your choices again.
Browser controls
You can also control and delete cookies through your web browser. Most browsers allow you to view stored cookies, delete cookies, block cookies from particular websites or restrict cookies more generally.
Blocking necessary cookies through your browser may prevent parts of the website, shopping basket or checkout from functioning correctly.
Third-party services
Where third-party services such as Microsoft, Stripe, Google, hCaptcha or Clicky are used, those providers may process information in accordance with their own privacy practices.
The availability and exact names or duration of cookies set by third-party services may vary according to the service being used, browser configuration and the provider’s current implementation.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when our website, the services we use or applicable requirements change. The latest version will always be published on this page.
